Has it really been that long??? I’ve missed you!
I know, I know… it’s been more than a hot minute since my last blog was done. But hey, let’s be real here! That is just the way life goes sometimes. In fact, I’m giving a talk about that for the WTRAA (Women of the Towing & Recovery Association of America) Women’s DRIVEN Conference in August. Can’t wait to spend the day with some strong powerful women in the towing industry!
Over the past year, you’ve seen me blend more of my professional life with my branding life. I mean, it is all a part of me! Right? For 22 years, I’ve owned and operated a Medium & Heavy-Duty Commercial Towing & Truck Repair Business. I’ve seen it, done it, and probably repeated it a few times over too. I’ve also owned a Quick Lube, Car Wash & Laundromat for over 12 years now. Talk about diversifying…. 😊 I’ve learned quite a bit over all these years in business, and I love sharing it all with you. I have even shared my life events on a personal level, too. Yes, I’ve kept some things private, but that is to protect it and cherish it. When the time is right, those things get revealed on a needed basis. (Yes, I’m a tad protective… it’s the mom in me.) So, when I tell you something, I’ve lived it. I’ve been through it. I’m going through it. I survived it. I overcame and defeated it. I’ve even sucked at it! 😊 All of this makes me who I am. I’m never going to be the one who has it all figured out because I will never quit learning and growing. But I will be the one who tells you what did work, what didn’t work, and give you anything I can to help you live your best life.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned through all of this is… Things Never Go As Planned!
Just as you think you have it all figured out… BAM! Nope, things change.
Been down this road a time or two or three… Living it.
Just when you think it couldn’t get better….. BAM! It does!
Been blessed enough to have this happen a time or two as well. So grateful.
Just when you finally get all your ducks in a row… BAM! One goes missing.
Life can be chaotic and challenging at times… You will overcome it.
Just when you have things running like a smooth oiled machine… BAM! A wrench is thrown in.
This too shall pass… Learn from it.
The one thing you can be certain of is when we are navigating life, it can and will change. Embrace it. Hang on. Ride it out. Sometimes, when we least expect it life gives you the rainbow, even when there wasn’t a storm. Right now, I’m in the season of busy. I wasn’t prepared for the timing, but when you have good people supporting you, it works! This season has taught me… when one door closes, another one opens. Look for the rainbow… It’s there! Sometimes you just have to look a little harder for it.
