I’ve come a long way, personally and professionally, over the past few years. I’m really proud to be in the position that I’m in now. I got rid of a lot of old habits and ways of doing things. I started to stand up for myself and create new patterns, and now I’m happy with where I am!
This month’s topic for my blog and social media is out with the old and in with the new. So, in the next few weeks, I’m going to be sharing some of the ways I’ve gotten rid of old and sometimes toxic things in my life. Doing this has let me pave the way and open the doors for new, happy, and positive changes to happen!
Refreshing My Office
I am SO excited to tell you all about my office refresh! This year I made some huge changes around my workplace. It’s made a difference in my positivity and overall happiness at work.
Along with shooing some of the toxic energy we used to have at work, I brought decor and items into my office that have completely changed how I feel when I’m there. I’ve learned that the environment in which you spend your time significantly impacts your perspective. I’ll be sharing more about that next week!
Out With Old Habits and In with New Goals
Another way I’ve embraced getting rid of the old and bringing new things into my life is looking at my old habits and replacing them with new and better ones. I’m not much of a “New Year’s Resolutions” kind of girl. Still, I think setting goals at the beginning of a new year is great because it’s a chance to start fresh.
I like setting goals instead of resolutions because you don’t have to worry about breaking them. If you set goals in the new year and change your mind about them after a few weeks, you’re not failing or falling short on them. If you fall short, you can start over right where you are and keep working toward those goals.
