Writing Intentionally

I find when I live intentionally, even with something as seemingly small as choosing to write or not, I live my best life. Sometimes, you just need to be in the right mood to write. And on top of that, it must be a topic you are passionate about, right? I know for me, that’s true.

I never want to write just to write. Then, there are the times you have so much to say and just can’t put it down in words because you are so passionate about it. That is where I am right now!

So, live intentionally! That’s my advice to you today.

My life changed because I was intentional with my choices. I am very passionate about helping others learn this for themselves because I know how much of a difference it can make. In fact, unless you are doing it, you won’t notice a difference.

How did I start living intentionally? I realized I was living the life others wanted from me. Not necessarily the life I wanted. Awareness was the first step!

I think the best way to describe intentional living is: knowing why you do what you do and what you don’t do.

Life Is All About Choices

I know you have heard that phrase before, many times in fact. You can make choices for yourself or you can let others do it for you. When you live intentionally, you ask yourself the following questions:

  • Why do I want to do this?
  • Why don’t I want to do this?
  • Why should I make this choice?
  • Why shouldn’t I make this choice?
  • Why is this important to me?

It’s about making that decision with your eyes WIDE OPEN.

Exceptions to Living Intentionally

Not everything in life is meant to be intentional. I live intentionally by focusing on the good in my life and creating more of it. I still have struggles and bad things still happen. But, no matter what happens, I intentionally remind myself of all the good and remember how blessed I am. I push out the bad and focus on the good.

Obviously, it isn’t easy to do. It takes work and that is why it is intentional.

When doing anything new, I like to remind people to start small and work your way up to where you want to be. This isn’t a one size fits all and there isn’t only one right way to do this. Take what works for you and choose to do what is best for you and your family.

Living intentionally is one of my 5 Key Paths to Self-Improvement. It is also part of the heart and soul of Taking Back Control of your Life, which is my mission and the foundation of my brand.

Live your best lives guys! You only get one!
